"My innate predisposition to contemplation and to every form of spirituality leads me to focus on the hidden meanings of things. Mine is an intuitive painting. In painting as in music, I freely manipulate, in shape and color, the materials and elements of the artwork and I paint the chosen themes in their essentiality . Generally using large spatulas and brushes, I give little space to detail, favoring an overall vision. I carefully select a few colors with strong tones, working on the artwork until it comes alive and significant on both an aesthetic and symbolic level. On the border between figurative and abstract painting, I try to satisfy multiple creative and communicative needs through different productions. Working on apparently very distant themes, styles and techniques, all my artworks have a thin veil of mysticism in common. From my point of view, each artwork I complete, together with the whole creative process, becomes a sort of path full of clues to follow towards a deeper understanding of oneself." M. Giuliani
